Preparing for your interview

Our aim is to make the video production process as comfortable for you as possible. Our goal is to share your unique story, and these simple guidelines will help you get ready for your close-up.

General Interview Guidelines:

• Avoid clothing with recognizable graphics (logos, slogans, etc.) and patterned stripes. Stripes can cause artifacts on camera, which will make your clothes look like they have a mind of their own.
• Unless directed otherwise, you don’t have to memorize any lines. Our interviewer will walk you through the line of questioning, helping to draw out natural and unscripted responses - the type of dialogue an audience wants to hear.
• Don’t be afraid to restart a response or pause to think. We edit all of our interviews to deliver an end product that seamlessly blends your answers in a clear and understandable way. We won’t be using that take where you sneezed on the lens, either.
• Just be yourself! We’re capturing your words and image to present YOU. We are here to help share your story with the audience, whatever that story may be.
• Breathe. We work in a stress-free and professional way. We’ll ease you into the video-making process - all you have to do is take a deep breathe, and you’ll do just fine.
