Nisha Kharé led the KharéCom team to cover the UN Women event that was held in Vancouver. The two-day event connected leaders involved with battling issues of gender equality and female empowerment with a focus on engaging with Indigenous women. Nisha sat down with the event's impressive lineup of keynote speakers, including Lakshmi Puri (Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations) and Ravi Karkara (Senior Advisor on Strategic Partnerships and Advocacy).

Advocates for Gender Equality

Nisha held interviews inside the Musqueam Community Centre Atrium, the Hycroft Mansion, Terminal City Club and the Vancouver Convention Centre. Each interviewee brought their own unique ideas and perspectives on ways to combat equality issues on both a local and global scale.
